Principals,

In an attempt to focus district technology professional development, The District Instructional Technology Integration Team has developed specific staff development opportunities for teachers in your building to enhance their effectiveness in delivering instruction. Our initial priorities will be to provide services to the Superintendent’s Focus Schools.

The Instructional Technology Department takes great pride in our commitment to providing the finest quality services to schools. Our mission is to assist schools in integrating available technology tools into teachers’ workflow and provide meaningful and ongoing professional development to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Professional Development Opportunities For Push-In or Pull-Out:
•    In-service Training on District Technology Initiatives
•    Grade Level Support at Scheduled Meetings
•    Co-Teaching Opportunities in Classrooms and Computer Labs
•    Demonstration Lessons with Students and Teachers
•    One-on-one Mentoring for Teachers
•    On-Call Support

We would like to begin scheduling a professional development with your staff. In order to provide the best possible learning experiences for your staff and ensure an equitable distribution of our services, we need your input!

Please plan to attend an organizational meeting on Monday, September 19, 2005 from 8:30-11:00 at the Buffalo Professional Development and Training Center, 150 Lower Terrace. Light breakfast fare and beverages will be provided.

Please RSVP via email or phone. If you absolutely cannot be here, please consider sending an assistant principal.

Thank you,

Bill
