Mac OS X Server 10.3.9 Update Warning
Updating a server to 10.3.9 will break the ability for users to login.
Fortunately the fix is easy.
- On the server, open /Applications/Utilities/Directory Access
- Authenticate if necessary
- Double Click on LDAPv3
- Click Authentication
- Click Add
- Add the /LDAP/yourserverstuff to the authentication
- Close the Directory Access application
- restart teh server
Reminder- always run Disk Utility Repair Permissions on your boot drive whenever you update or install programs.
