The all day in-service will be held at the Buffalo Professional Development and Technology Center, 150 Lower Terrace starting promptly at 8:30 a.m.

The March 26th TIS In-service Day will start with a webex introducing the Adobe Digital School Collection. This collection contains:

  • Photoshop Elements 7
  • Acrobat 9 Pro
  • Soundbooth CS4
  • Contribute CS4

The presenter will demo the software as well as talk about the integration of the software suite into the instructional program.

Becky Turner will be with us, with the Top Ten Xerox questions. For many of us this will be a chance to meet the "Voice on the Phone."

HP is going to do a Meet the Mini session. Touted as the "perfect mobile companion", we will have chance to see the new hardware and get leg up on support issues.

A an optional working lunch has been scheduled. We will be ordering for Maura's (the menu will be on line Monday). There are two lunch and learn options:

  • IWB with Ben Posner, which is open to the Whiteboard group only.
  • DameWare 101 with Bob Sirekas.

Choose one or enjoy lunch with your colleagues.

Meet PGS

Our afternoon session will unveil the new Professional Growth System website. This district site is a one stop shop for professional learning.  For example teachers can register for trainings on line, keep track of their hours, track their certification status and more. With the175 hour professional development mandate for new teachers, this type of service is crucial. Every teacher in the district will be using this system in the future.

A complete agenda is now available for download.

Be sure to order your lunch online. All orders should be placed by 8 a.m. Thursday March 26. Click Here.
