Please mark your calendars. There will be an all day inservice for district Technology Integration Specialists Friday, Dec. 7.

The day's agenda will feature a mix of technical briefings, curriculum integration updates, and question and answer time.

There will be an Open Forum moderated by Bill Russo, Supervisor of Instructional Technology. Bring your departmental questions and concerns. Following the question and answer session, Bob  Swipes, Senior Microcomputer Technical Support Specialist for BOCES, will talk about the Active Directory implementation in the district.

Also on the agenda in the morning, Bill Russo and Ike Smith, TIS at 33, 74 and 91 will give us an update on Tandberg Videoconferencing.

Scott Nourse, TIS at Emerson, South Park and School 42, as well as frequent instructor for the BTRC, will walk us through the steps necessary to add images, sound and video to our new website.

The balance of the day will focus on technology integration with an update from Alan Nowicki, Manager of Learning and Technology from WNED who will give us an update on EdVideo and Thinkbright.

Hopefully, schedules allowing, we will be able to arrange a short session introducing Real Math, the web based math program being used in the SSID Schools.

In the afternoon, Scott Nourse will talk about posting multimedia files on the new website.

Parking as always is free in the BPS lot on the south side of the WNED building on Lower Terrace. Lunch will be on your own.
