In the Spirit of Collaboration

Monday's GenYES! meeting left me feeling energized.

The idea that 8 additional schools will be coming onboard this year is exciting! Scott Nourse has created this space for us GenYES! folk to exchange ideas, collaborate, and create a sense of community. I have come across some really cool MAC apps in my travels and want to bring one to your attention.

SubEthaEdit is a Bonjour based collaborative text editor. SubEthaEdit is available free for non-commercial use thanks to the developers at CodingMonkeys (http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/). This could be the tool you're looking for when you want students to write collaboratively.

Hi Ken-
I've used subethaedit as a text editor- but haven't tried the collaborative features yet. Wanna give a demo of classroom applications of this? :)

Cool! Give me a few weeks to play with it. Maybe I can demo at the next TIS training day.
