How to Install the Carnegie Math Cognitive Tutor (2005)
Installing/Configuring Carnegie Cognitive Tutor 2005
1 . Make sure the computer is “unlocked” if security software is installed (Macintosh
  Manager, Deep Freeze, Foolproof, etc...)

2 . Run the appropriate installer



3 . Authenticate, if necessary, by clicking the lock and typing an adminstrative name and
  password.




4 . Click Next at the Welcome Screen




5 . Enter the following serial number: CL2005-PLL9LLUCG93LLLC9

6. Select both of the course options




7 . Select Remote LMS Client




8 . Select Yes for Install Teacher Toolkit? if it is a teacher workstation (or is managed to
  limit student access to this program)




9 . Pick the default location

10. Check the summary, then click Install.




1 1 . Click Next at Client Configuration.




1 2 . Enter carnegielms.buffalo.k12.ny.us for the LMS Host. Enter the school number for
   the School ID (example: S.Park is 206), or leave blank to have the users enter it when
   the applications are launched. Verify until it confirms the server, then click Save.
   (Failed verification indicated incorrect setting, or lack of network connection).




1 3 . Click Done when finished




1 4 . Re-apply any security settings or applications after testing.
