Kid Pix Studio Deluxe
1. Digital Puppets
• use keys to make puppet move
• Goodies to Pick a Puppet
• Goodies to Pick a Background - show “More Pictures”
• Make a movie - record, go to beginning, pause, play
Click red button to start recording movie; blue triangle plays movie; blue
square brings movie back to the beginning; red lines pause movie
• Goodies to Pick a Sound - choose a sound, preview it, choose “play all the time”
Click “More Sounds”; choose one - shows up as a suitcase with a musical
note
• Save on desktop
2. File to Return to Picker
3. M o o p i e s
• use paintbrush tool - the blue arrows on right of brush options (means there are
more choices); look at the “?” tool
• choose pencil tool; choose fattest pencil and look at the two question mark options
• repeat with line, square, circle, and paint can tools
• Show mixer, text, typewriter, stamp (option key makes stamp larger), move
(copy and paste using the Edit menu), eyedropper (changes color palette); undo
tools
• Toolbox to Edit Stamp
• Save on desktop
4. Stampinator
• tools, edit stamp, and goodies are the same
• look at buttons on right hand side
column 1: firecracker deletes stamp choice; other four are stamp choices
column 2: top three are stamp behavior tools (back and forth motion, back
and forth flipped, animation tool - stops and starts animation); bottom five are
path tools (original, circle, smooth, bounce, and gravity)
• Save on desktop
5. Wacky TV
• TV with controls on side
• just for playing movies
6. Kid Pix
• notice tools are the same
• Goodies allows you to pick a stamp set, etc. Pick Hidden Pictures doesn’t work
here, but it works using the “?” for the eraser tool; Pick More Pictures has maps,
cutouts, great clip art, and additional backgrounds
• look at the Goodies, including Pick a Movie which allows you to import a movie
into your Kid Pix project (notice the paste jar that appears on the Wacky TV)
• Save on desktop
7. Slide Show (slides will be items that were saved on the desktop in steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 6)
• click on first button on first truck; import first slide; repeat with the next three trucks
• click on sound button on first truck and pick a sound; repeat with all slides that don’t
have a sound
• click on the third button in the first truck and select a transition; repeat for all slides
except the last one
• click on the film strip beneath the first truck and set the time; repeat for other slides
• Save the slide show on your desktop
• play slide show
