eSIS Quick Reference: First Login
This two page tip sheet walks the user through his/her first login. The user learns to how to change his/her eSIS password, as well as becomes acquainted with the Start Screen features.

Your First eSIS Logon The following ‘Change Password’ screen appears, for you to fill out.

1 Enter the URL specific to your eSIS set up into your Web browser’s
address box and press the [return] key. In about 30 seconds, your browser
will have downloaded a Java applet and established a connection to the

eSIS server. You’ll know you’ve made a successful connection when the
window shown in Figure 1 appears.
a. In the Username textbox, type the Username you have been given for

your e-mail account. (HINT: it’s a single word, usually made up of your first
initial and last name).
b. Tab to (or click in) the Password textbox and type your Password. NOTE:

Protect Your eSIS Password . . .
If this is the very first time you’re logging in, the following alert will appear; if

it’s not your first time to log into eSIS, instead of seeing this alert you will be ®
Make up a good eSIS password, then guard it as you would your own credit

Never write it down and post it on or near your computer -- even if you work
only with young children (think about all the older children and adults who pass
near your workspace in the course of a school year).
By the way, if ever you do forget your own password, call your District’s

eSIS Help Desk and explain your situation. Someone will reset your password
back to your Username and flag it to expire after the first time it’s used.
