Creating AD Accounts

by Sharon Caher last modified Oct 11, 2008 12:16 PM

Technology Integration Specialists are no longer creating Active Directory accounts. Kathryn Hocking is now the single point of contact for all matters involving staff AD accounts.

From the Desk of Bill Russo, Supervisor of Instructional Technology:

In an effort to streamline the creation and maintenance of Active Directory Accounts, Kathryn Hocking is now the single point of contact for all matters involving staff AD accounts.

There now exists a specific email account named  Active Directory  for AD issues including account creation. TIS's will email to that "person" for staff AD registrations.

Please note:  the following information will be needed to create the log-on:

  • Name
  • Employee ID number
  • Job Title or Description (Teacher, Aide, Principal, etc)

If the problem is not time sensitive  a work order can also be entered in School Dude - The Problem Type would be 'Security/Login' and the Purpose would be 'Active Directory'.  Kim Powell will create a work queue for those tickets so they automatically get routed correctly.

At this point, Bob Swipes is still the contact for Student AD registrations, and of course, the Help Desk can reset passwords for any Active Directory account.
