Buffalo Professional Development and Technology Center is a state of the art technology training center offering specialized instruction to both public and non-public school employees. The Buffalo Professional Development and Technology Center, located on the 4th floor of the WNED building in downtown Buffalo, provides a “state of the art environment for public school and non public school employees to receive specialized instruction  in meeting the emerging needs of the New York State Learning Standards.”

The center offers three training rooms equipped with the latest technology devices, networks and software. Additionally, on-line conference rooms and research areas are available. The Buffalo Teacher Center occupies one wing of the center, which also houses key district curriculum offices (For office listings and phone/fax  numbers, check Related Items for a directory.) Largely funded by the Federal Technology Literacy Challenge fund, the center is administered by the district’s Department of Curriculum.

Opening its doors on March 31, 2001, the training center represents a significant collaboration among Buffalo Pubic School district partners, which include: the Buffalo Teacher Center, Western New York Public Broadcasting, Center for Applied Technology in Education, Erie I BOCES and other higher education partners.

How to Make Reservation
If you would like to reserve a room at the BPDTC, either a computer lab for training or meeting space, fill out the reservation form (click on the link in Related Items to access the form) and email the completed form to rroman@buffalo.k12.ny.us. When you fill out the form be sure to identify any AV or computer related equipment you will need. If you need software installed, please call Sharon Caher at 816- 3048 x.8777 or email scaher@buffalo.k12.ny.us
