Requests for Active Directory Changes

Instructions for requesting staff and student Active Directory accounts

Please forward all 'bulk' AD changes (5 or more users to be added) to Bob Swipes (fswipes@e1b.org).


Requests of less than 5 should be directed to the Help Desk for resolution.

The information that Bob requires in order to properly create AD accounts is as follows:
    
A Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with the following columns:

Staff:

Column 1
Column 2
Column 3
Column 4
First NameMiddle InitLast NameSchool (may be omitted if all are at the same school)

Students:

Column 1Column 2Column 3Column 4Column 5
First NameMiddle InitLast NameStudent IDCohort

Note that the Cohort is the year that the student has entered or will enter high school, not the graduation year. This the standard which has been adopted.

Middle initials are important because there are so many duplicate user names. In order to attempt to have consistent, unique names, middle initals (or middle names) are requested where possible.
