Troubleshoot Mac RAM Module
A quick fix for a troubled Mac.
If you run into a situation where your Mac won't start and you suspect the RAM might be the problem use the following information to diagnose and resolve the problem.
SYMPTOMS:
- there is no start up chime or you hear an unfamiliar tone
- Mac doesn't boot into OS
- may not be able to reset PRAM using alt/option + cmd (open apple) key combination
SOLUTIONS:
- disconnect all cables and peripherals
- access the RAM modules (some tools required)
